Linkage with the Local Development Council
The Local Government Code also recognizes the role of the Local Development Council in formulating development plans and public investment programs. The PPDO provides technical and secretariat support to the Provincial Development Council and other planning bodies of the Provincial Government.
PPDO support includes:
- Preparation and consolidation of development planning documents;
- Technical support to council meetings, consultations, and sectoral planning activities;
- Coordination with offices, municipalities, national government agencies, and stakeholders; and
- Monitoring of programs, projects, and activities aligned with approved development plans.
