Section 476: Planning and Development Coordinator
Section 476 of the Local Government Code provides for the appointment and functions of the Planning and Development Coordinator in every province, city, and municipality.
1. The Planning and Development Coordinator takes charge of the Planning and Development Office.
2. The office formulates integrated economic, social, physical, and other development plans and policies.
3. The office conducts studies, research, and training programs necessary for development planning.
4. The office integrates and coordinates sectoral plans and studies undertaken by various offices and agencies.
5. The office monitors and evaluates the implementation of development programs, projects, and activities.
6. The office performs other planning-related duties as may be provided by law or ordinance.
